About Me

Books about Catholic topics Nick to Literary Success

The book poses the question: Was the Crucifixion necessary? Its premise is the Crucifixion was necessary. It was the means by which Jesus accomplishes His Father’s will to reopen the gate to the Kingdom of Heaven closed by the sin of Adam and Eve. Given the fact that the gate to the Kingdom was closed by a man, the Father determined it would only be reopened by a man. Beginning with Noah, God entered a series of covenants, over the ages to accomplish this task. Recognizing that humankind would not, on its own, be able to do so, God chose in His Son, to become man. Through and in his human nature Jesus, as the new Adam, willingly underwent his passion, culminating in his Crucifixion to reopen the gate to the Kingdom, closed by the first Adam.
